APPLICATION
1.
Each author can submit ONE work no larger than 50 kilo in weight
or 1 metre in any dimension.
2.
Each author should send to KITSA the following:
- A
completed application form.
- Two
images of the actual work to be exhibited from different views
(35mm slides, photographs or preferably digital on cd or by email)
- Typed
curriculum vitae and short (200 words) statement about the artist's
work.
- Photograph
of the artist.
- The
application fee or proof of transfer (see 4 below)
3.
All application must arrive by the given date to the address of
the organisers, by either post or email. Applications that arrive
after the specified date will not be considered for the exhibition.
4.
A non-refundable participation fee of 40 Euro is payable by all
applicants to cover organisation and administration costs, publications
etc. Euro payments should be paid by transfer to the account of
the organisers. (Details below and on the application form). A receipt
confirming the payment must be enclosed with the application form.
Artists who do not submit proof of payment shall not be considered
for selection.

SELECTION
FOR THE EXHIBITION
5.
Only original works will be considered for the competition.
6.
No works previously awarded prizes in international competition
will be accepted.
7.
On receiving the applications the jury will select the works for
the exhibition and all applicants will be notified of the jury decision.
The decision of the jury is final and no correspondence regarding
their selection will be entered into.
8.
None of the works selected for the exhibition may be removed before
the closing date.
9.
Reproductions of any exhibited works may be used by the organisers
for the Triennial's publicity and the exhibition catalog. The artists
agree to waive any fee in respect of this.
10.
Each exhibitor will be represented in the catalog, with at least
one image of the exhibited work and related information. Each exhibitor will be entitled to one free copy of the catalog.
11.
In the event of a sale of the exhibited works during the exhibition,
the organisers will retain a 25% commission of the price.
12.
The organising committee has the right to issue personal invitations
to domestic and foreign artists on the merits of their accomplishments
to submit work for the competition.

COMPETITION
13.
On receiving the actual works the jury will select the award winners
and the artists will be notified as to the decision of the jury
as soon as possible.
14.
The awards will be made on the opening of the exhibition. It is
hoped that award winners will be present for the ceremony.
15.
All prize-winning works will become the property of the Foundation for Contemporary Ceramics and will displayed in the collection of the International Ceramics Studio.

TRANSPORT
OF SELECTED WORKS
16.
All works selected for the exhibition must arrive at the triennial
office no later than 1st April, 2008. Successful applicants
will be notified of the delivery address.
17.
Transport of the works to KITSA is the responsibility of the author
of the work.
18.
The organisers bear no responsibility for the loss of or damage
to any works in transit prior to their arrival at the specified
address. Any works damaged on arrival will be examined by the organisers
and a report sent to the author.
19.
Any pieces damaged on arrival at KITSA will be assessed and discussed
with the artist as to the possibility of display of the work. In
all circumstances the final decision will be with KITSA.

INSURANCE
20.
It is the responsibillity of all applicants to ensure their works
are insured during transportation to and from KITSA.
21.
KITSA will not be responsible for any problems that arise from the
applicants failure to insure their artworks during transit.
22.
All works will be insured by KITSA from their arrival to the end
of the exhibition.

RETURN
OF WORKS
23.
All works not awarded prizes will be returned at the artists expense.
24.
Artists who wish their works returned will be sent a quotation for
transport from Hungary. Payment must be received prior to the despatch of the works to the artist.
25.
If an artist does not want the work returning it can be donated
to the Foundation for Contemporary Ceramic Arts which can make use
of the works in whatever way it deems most suitable.
26.
Works will be stored for 30 days after the closure of the exhibition.
If no confirmation for the return of the work is received within
this time the works will be aquired by the Foundation and disposed of.
